Garrett Lovell is the Director of Enterprise Project Management for Acumed, a global medical device company headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon. Garrett has led the PMO at Acumed since October 2019 and was recently promoted to his current role in March. Since joining Acumed, Garrett has focused on developing a world class PMO, making significant improvements in the Acumed project framework to drive improved business outcomes and playing a part in the transformation of his company culture and team behaviors. His PMO continues to drive accountability and efficiency across the organization to ensure their project teams can execute flawlessly, which is always easier said than done!

In 1988, while at Intel Corporation, Gerry Lefebvre took a role as a Project Coordinator, starting his career in Project and Program Management. He remained in high tech for another 14 years, working with Intel, Sequent Computers (now IBM) and in the start-up ecosystem. In 2002 Gerry began a 9 year stint with Starbucks Coffee Company, 6 of which were spent with the Tazo Tea brand in Portland. While at Tazo, he managed numerous new product releases and started Tazo’s first PMO. In 2008 he moved to Seattle to start the Starbucks PMO for Beverage Research and Development. Following his time with Starbucks, he transitioned into the Medical Device Industry, spending 4 years at TE Connectivity in their Med Device group, Acumed Inc. for another 4 years where he rebuilt and ran the PMO, and ultimately to A-dec, where he is the current Manager of Product Development Operations, which includes the PMO and Shared Services.

Dr. Gary Mitchell holds a distinguished professorship in the Robert B. Pamplin Jr. School of Business Administration at the University of Portland and has worked in and taught project management for more than thirty-five years. He successfully managed IT packaged software implementation, custom development, packaged software development, business profit improvement and business re-engineering projects. Professor Mitchell also managed projects involving distribution center and warehouse design, construction and operational setup. His new book, Project Management: A risk management approach, co-authored with Ted Klastorin (University of Washington), was published by Sage Publishing in September 2020.

Titu Hariharan currently serves the PMI Portland Chapter as the “Disciplined Agile Champion” liaison and is a Past President of the chapter. Titu is passionate about project management and is involved at the chapter, regional and global levels of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and is a graduate of the Leadership Institute Master Class (LIMC ’19). Titu has over fifteen years of experience in education, project management, business analysis, event management, sales and marketing and customer service. She has worked in IT project management, software implementation, healthcare IT projects, and business projects in the government, healthcare, non-profit and defense sectors. Presently, she is a Program Manager at Timbercon, Inc.
