Workshop - Moving Beyond Agile Project Management
A new project management model has been developed at Arizona State University, replacing the traditional PM role of managing, directing, and controlling with identifying and utilizing expertise in projects. It goes far beyond Agile project management in flexibility, risk minimization, and overall performance. Pilot testing results have shown a 90% decrease in transactions, 98% customer satisfaction and a one percent vendor cost and time deviation rate.
World-renowned researcher in best value, Dr. Dean Kashiwagi has developed a “hands off” approach to managing contractors and vendors in any industry. On Wednesday, November 11, PMI Portland is pleased to present “Moving Beyond Agile Project Management” where Dr. Dean will share his theories, research, and best practices around the Best Value Approach (BVA) he created. The BVA concept educates and assists partners in becoming a more efficient organization through measurement, accountability and transparency.
