Keynote Presentation - Ben Berry

Converging IT and OT - Driving BPA's Strategy for the Future!

The Bonneville Power Administration released its five-year strategic plan earlier this year, and CIO Ben Berry was and is key in making sure the IT side of the house is contributing. He will share the action items resulting from an enterprise-wide technology assessment, including the opportunities of converging operations and technology talent and moving ERP systems from on-premise to cloud-based, a move designed to cut costs. Converging Information Technology (IT) and Operational (OT) is more important now than ever. Both IT groups are facing significant challenges in terms of infrastructure, communications, cybersecurity, business processes, and coordination. The need is to integrate ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE and REAL TIME decision-making processes and applications. Join him as he explains how the deep dive into BPA’s IT technology assessment led to 10 breakthrough strategies, resulting in cost management, streamlining of services, and process improvement.

Educational Presentation - Kip Davis
